The art and science of self-awareness, self-compassion, and joy. Guided mindfulness practice with Q&A.
10am
Guided mindfulness practice including a longer period of sitting. Opportunity for reflections and suggestions including Q&A.
11 am
Walking meditation instructions and practice, followed by a lightly guided meditation with silence.
12pm
Lunch Break. Mindful eating instructions. Silence encouraged.
1pm MST
Mindful movement and "turning towards the gold" followed by a silent meditation.
2pm MST
Guided meditation and closing reflections.

Dr. Irina Mihaescu is a board certified Psychiatrist in clinical practice splitting her time between a trauma-informed clinical practice and physician health and well being initiatives. She loves to learn and is a seeker of wisdom, and a collaborator at heart. She is a trained mindfulness teacher, yoga & body psychology practitioner, and integration enthusiast. Her approach is gentle and non-assuming with a touch of well-placed irreverance.

Physician, Mindfulness 101, 6-week series
The mini meditation retreat for Physicians will be on August 21, 2022 online on Zoom. We will have approximately 20-40 minute sitting sessions mixed with time for gentle movement and mindful walking. All sessions will be recorded and available for replay, although we highly encourage you to attend live as this is where the integration and community of practice happens. We will ask you to fill out a short pre and post session survey and feedback form before and after the series as this helps you to reflect on changes you may have experienced throughout our time together, and helps us improve the experience for others in the future.
We are always happy to converse with you via email and answer your questions about the curriculum and the day's content. In this retreat, you will learn key principles and practices of mindfulness meditation and self-compassion. You will have an opportunity to practice both breath focused awareness practices, body focused awareness practices, as well as working with emotions and thoughts in non-evaluative awareness and loving kindness practices. Each sitting session will begin with a short check-in, followed by a 10 minute talk and will proceed with various skill based mindfulness and self-compassion practices. We will end with a question and answer period where we each get to share our reflections, suggestions, and ask for further support and guidance if need be. This class is designed for beginners and seasoned mindfulness practitioners with a focus on integration and embodiment of these principles and practices into your daily life.
There is a nonrefundable $5 USD credit card fee. Further Refunds are available until midnight August 18th, 2022. No further refunds will be offered after midnight, August 18, 2022. The mini meditation retreat will be recorded and replays will be available for you if you are unable to attend live.
