LESSON ONE
The art and science of self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-care and what it means for your ongoing success and wellbeing. Cultivating awareness though basic breath & body focused mindfulness meditation practice.
LESSON TWO
Using self-awareness in your daily life no matter whether you are at work or on holidays. Taking care of yourself in the midst of chaos and struggle. Turning towards comfort or discomfort with kind attention.
LESSON THREE
Self-compassion fundamentals and how to live a life free of the inner critic and inner bully. Practicing self-kindness and self-forgiveness even if you don't believe a word of it at first. You will over time.
LESSON FOUR
Resting in a sea of open awareness and using this practice to work with emotions, thoughts, sensations, and other experiences. Resourcing yourself w key mindfulness and self-compassion anchors in your daily life.
LESSON FIVE
Finding joy in unseen places and "turning towards the gold". Cultivating gratitude and growth even in the most difficult of journeys. Living in your Body and being Present for your Life, Here, as it is right now.
LESSON SIX
Cultivating Loving Awareness and Gentle Presence in relationship with yourself and others. Practicing the art of Equanimity, Loving Kindness, & Sympathetic Joy.

Dr. Irina Mihaescu is a board certified Psychiatrist in clinical practice splitting her time between a trauma-informed clinical practice and physician health and well being initiatives. She loves to learn and is a seeker of wisdom, and a collaborator at heart. She is a trained mindfulness teacher, yoga & body psychology practitioner, and integration enthusiast. Her approach is gentle and non-assuming with a touch of well-placed irreverance.

We start in February 24, 2022 online on Zoom with our first kickoff call. We will meet weekly for 6 weeks starting on Thursday February 24th at 9pmEST/6pm PST. We will meet weekly for a 90 minute to 120 minute class and practice. All sessions will be recorded and available for replay, although we highly encourage you to attend live as this is where the integration and community of practice happens. We will ask you to fill out a short pre and post session survey and feedback form before and after the series as this helps you to reflect on changes you may have experienced throughout our time together, and helps us improve the experience for others in the future.
We are always happy to converse with you via email and answer your questions about the curriculum and the class content. In this series, you will learn key principles and practices of mindfulness meditation and self-compassion. You will have an opportunity to practice both breath focused awareness practices, body focused awareness practices, as well as working with emotions and thoughts in non-evaluative awareness and loving kindness practices. Each class will begin with a short check-in, followed by a 10 minute talk and will proceed with various skill based mindfulness and self-compassion practices. We will end with a question and answer period where we each get to share our reflections, suggestions, and ask for further support and guidance if need be. This class is designed for beginners and seasoned mindfulness practitioners with a focus on integration and embodiment of these principles and practices into your daily life.
There is a nonrefundable $11 USD credit card fee. Further Refunds are available until midnight February 24nd, 2022. No further refunds will be offered after midnight, the day of our kickoff call on February 24, 2022. The series will be recorded and replays will be available for you if you are unable to attend live.
